Dean Dalrymple Retires from Dalrymple Sallis Architecture

Pensacola, FL – (May 6, 2025) – After decades of design leadership and community impact, Dean Dalrymple is stepping down from day-to-day operations at Dalrymple Sallis Architecture, the firm he co-founded with Scott Sallis and helped shape into one of Northwest Florida’s most respected architectural practices.

For 15 years, Dean Dalrymple has been a guiding force behind the firm’s commitment to thoughtful, enduring architecture. His passion for context-driven design, community engagement, and mentorship has shaped the built environment across the Gulf Coast, as well as those who have passed through the firm’s doors. Under his leadership, Dalrymple Sallis Architecture has become known for its clear vision, collaborative spirit, and timeless work.

Scott Sallis, principal and co-founder, said Dalrymple has set the stage for a culture that will endure.

“Dean’s legacy is everywhere — in the structures he helped create, in the values he instilled, and in the culture of excellence he fostered,” said Sallis. “He’s not just leaving a successful practice; he’s leaving a deeply rooted philosophy that will continue to guide us.”

Scott Sallis will continue to lead the firm, guided by 35 years of experience in the industry. He is joined by Samantha Garrett, associate principal, whose design acumen and commitment to the firm’s mission reflect its future direction. Together, they are poised to build upon the foundation Dean helped establish, embracing innovation while honoring the firm’s deeply held principles of contextual design and client-centered service.

“I am confident in the future of the firm under Scott and Sam’s leadership,” said Dalrymple. “They bring complementary strengths, deep experience, and a shared vision for where we are headed.”
