Old East Hill Novelty
Recipient of a 2015 AIA Northwest Florida Merit Award for New Work, this Old East Hill residence provides a unique solution to a narrow lot. The exterior is a contemporary take on the Southern “shotgun” style house, while the minimalist interior imparts a sophisticated backdrop for the client’s art and furnishing.
Southern Charm Detail
With remarkable trust from the client, DSA worked to create a lasting home for this Owner. They hope to make this their last residence as they age in place in beautiful downtown Pensacola. In addition to a comfortable open plan on a narrow lot, the project appeals to many with front and rear porches and beautiful outdoor spaces.
IRIS Headquarters
Historic renovation for a contemporary office
Originally built in 1913, this beautiful, historic Pensacola theater was known as the Isis theater. It severed as some form of theater entertainment until after WWII when the balcony was removed, and a steel framed, concrete floor system was placed in the building to create a second floor required to establish the building as a new home for First Bank & Trust Company of Pensacola in 1951. The second floor was later abandoned up until recently when Dalrymple | Sallis Architecture was invited to help reclaim as much detail as possible while establishing a new and contemporary headquarters or Intelligent Retinal Imaging Systems.
