In March of 1905, Mr. William Warfield took full ownership of the Warfield Grocery Company located at the corner Alcaniz and Intendencia. Decades of William’s hard work turned the Warfield Grocery into a staple – a place to connect with friends, converse with community members and pick up household essentials. Mr. Warfield depended on honest, straight forward advertising to bring the customers into his store. He then used his pleasing personality, high-quality grocery stock, and his impeccably clean store to keep them coming back. When one entered his front door, they were greeted with a welcoming atmosphere, tidiness, and perfection – seldom found in a store of any sort during that time.
