A widely successful early food court – food truck concept for Pensacola, Alfresco Market owner’s looked for the next step in providing high quality, dining experience that gives flexibility for food truck tenants and also enhances historic downtown Pensacola, FL.  The design concept for the reinvented “THE GARDEN” was to provide a new covered pavilion for the food court that would keep sun and rain of patrons.  This pavilion needed to look like it had been there a while and the food trucks made their home within an older structure.  The developer invested in a lasting foundation and steel frame within a flood prone area.  Brick column wraps and an intentional partial roof on the corner give the project an open feel that invites patrons from the sidewalk into the space, making this project a delightful addition to our downtown core.
